Heel Strike is Absorbed

The Axtion 1E56 is a compact and lightweight high-performance foot for active amputees. Its low structural height makes it perfect for patients where only limited space is available. New heel wedges make it easy for individual adaptation of heel stiffness. As an all-around talent, the Axtion is ideal for everyday use as well as for recreational sports, and its Heel Adjustment Wedges make it easier to optimize the fitting in one session.

The unique combination of flexible carbon springs, elastic polyurethane and adjustable heel stiffness enables the Axtion 1E56 to offer top performance during all phases of gait.

  • The dynamic heel element effectively softens impact at heel strike. Heel stiffness and the resulting knee dynamics can be adapted to the individual patient requirements by using one of two different heel wedges?with no increase in price. This also allows for simple fitting changes if the user gains or loses weight.
  • During roll-over, the particularly long weight-bearing foot length offers just the support needed for a natural gait pattern, and helps eliminate dead spots. The polyurethane layer compensates for slightly uneven surfaces.
  • Excellent forefoot dynamics support the transition to the swing phase by returning the energy stored. The 1E56 Axtion thus allows controlled toe-off, even at high walking speeds.
  • Above-and-beyond Testing: Otto Bock takes things a step further than ISO standards by loading the foot from heel strike to toe off while performing 2 million cycles.  And while ISO standards require using 2 feet, we test 8-10 different feet.

The Axtion 1E56 is suitable for prosthesis wearers with transtibial, knee disarticulation, transfemoral and hip disarticulation amputation levels who function at moderate to very high activity levels.

1C20 ProSymes

A terrific solution for patients with a Symes amputation.

1C20 ProSymes

At a Glance

  • Ability to adjust the foot position during trial fitting as well as after completion of the prosthesis
  • Part Weight= 18 oz (520 g)
  • Clearance= (43 mm)

The 1C20 ProSymes addresses the unique challenges that fitting a Symes amputee can present.
The key innovation in this foot is a unique spherical sliding block that allows you to correct alignment during trial fitting and even after the prosthesis has been completed. With the 1C20, there is no more wasted time and effort if you fit a Symes amputee with a misaligned foot. Simply adjust the sliding block so that it aligns properly with your patient?s socket.

The 1C20 ProSymes is constructed of bonded carbon fiber and urethane. This combination delivers outstanding reliability and performance. With a clearance of 43 mm, this is the ideal foot for Symes amputees who require a dynamic foot.

Positioning of the Foot

Easy adjustment of the foot in relation to the socket is possible with the new spherical alignment solution. A setting aid facilitates the alignment and determines the direction of the maximum adjustment range in the anterior/posterior direction. This provides an infinitely variable setting range beginning with 12 and accommodates different heel heights. A sliding block in the lamination anchor provides additional movement and allows for the abduction (+6), adduction (-6) and rotation (+/- 30) of the socket.

Low Clearance

Clearance of only 43 mm, including die-cast anchor and cosmetic foot shell
? Spacer plate allows to fit patients with a clearance of more than 52 mm ? adjustment possibilities are not affected

Indications and Application

ProSymes is suitable for Symes amputees and offers superb shock absorption at the heel, high energy return and a smooth roll-over. Limited application for fitting of Pirogoff amputations and re-amputated Chopart residual limbs.

Dynamic Feet

Dynamic Feet are for moderate walkers ? the 1D10, 1D11 and 1D35 Dynamic Motion.

The 1D10/1D11 Dynamic Foot

The 1D10/1D11 Dynamic Foot has a natural shape with a smooth surface and split toe cosmesis.

Dynamic Feet 1D10/1D11

At a Glance

  • Proven combination of contoured core and functional foam
  • Can be ordered with installed titanium adapter
  • Natural shape with formed toes
  • Recommended for Mobility Grades 1 and 2*
  • Part Weight= 1D10= 21.2 oz (600 g)

The 1D10/1D11 Dynamic Foot has a natural shape with a smooth surface and split toe cosmesis. We developed the 1D11 especially for narrow women?s and men's shoes. It is narrower than the 1D10.

The functional properties are achieved through the proven combination of a contoured core and functional foam. The foot distinguishes itself mainly through a comfortable heel impact and easier rollover than the SACH foot (Solid Ankle Cushion Heel). The differentiated foam technology improves the forefoot dynamic.

We recommend the 1D10/1D11 Dynamic Foot for amputees of Otto Bock Mobility Grades 1 and 2*. It is constructed for use in modular and exoskeletal prostheses. We also offer the 1D10 with an installed titanium modular adapter. In this version, the foot can be used for a maximum weight of up to 330 pounds / 150 kilograms.

The Next Generation Foot ? 1D35 Dynamic Motion

The Dynamic Motion incorporates an S-spring and specialized foam to provide a progressive ankle moment in mid-stance for a smoother, more natural gait.

1D35 Dynamic Motion Foot

At a Glance

  • Progressive ankle moment
  • Comfortable heel strike with noticeable plantar flexion
  • Physiological rollover
  • Compensates for uneven terrain
  • High energy return

Biomechanical Performance

Because the 1D35 delivers a smooth, controlled performance, impact forces on the patient?s contralateral limb are reduced. The amputee is able to load the prosthetic foot with essentially the same amount of weight as the sound limb. Because the amputee does not have to compensate with their sound limb, this also contributes to more natural gait characteristics.

Patient Characteristics

The Dynamic Motion is suitable for people with transtibial amputation, knee disarticulation, transfemoral amputation or hip disarticulation with a low to moderate level of activity, and who require a foot with comfortable heel strike, physiological rollover, and good energy return. We recommend it for Otto Bock Mobility Grades 2 and 3*. The foot is available in the sizes from 24 to 30 centimeters and can be used up to a maximum weight of 100 kilograms / 220 pounds depending on the foot size.

Adjust Foot

In the 1M10 Adjust Foot, Otto Bock has developed a foot that can be readily adapted to the individual needs of the amputee ? quickly and easily.

The Prosthetic Feet 1M10 Adjust

1M10 Adjust ? Mobility with Stability

At a glance

  • Stable stance, even when weight is transferred between the prosthesis and the sound limb
